Largest Concert Hall in the World

Just got home from a concert there (LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City) and it was wonderful.  It is right downtown Salt Lake City and holds just over 21,000.  ‘America’s Choir’ performed with the Utah Symphony and guest conductor Erich Kunzel.  Guest soloists Denyce Graves sang well but Brian Stokes Mitchell brought the house down.  His rich voice and interpretive renditions were spell binding.  OK, that is a bit of hyperbole, but only a bit.  The evening was called ‘An American Songbook’ and was filled with pieces of American works and patriotic music.

Our ’before the show’ dinner was at Biaggi’s at the Gateway so started off Italian.  The evening again, had perfect weather, full round moon and worth savoring because these days won’t last forever.  Glad I could share it with Audrey.
