Growing up we didn’t have a lot of political discussions in our home. But there is no question that I came from a conservative background. I had thoughts about what was going on in politics but often when I would get into a discussion I would be at a loss for an explanation of my views. I certainly needed more time to process the political philosophies of the day and decide why I held a particular view. The past few years I have become more active, attending town meetings and even this summer was elected as secretary for my district. And hey, Sarah Palin got her start in PTA.
During the 2008 presidential campaign I have watched most of the debates and listened to endless reports on the campaign trail plus the pundits and their take on the issues. With little time left in this race and the last 4 debates upon us, I am anxious to hear what the candidates have to say. I am undecided at this point and because it is a tight race, the winner will be decided by people like me who could swing the vote either way. My current position is much more moderate and my views combine some of each party.
